Combined, these two material make the Ove Glove fire and heat resistant withstanding extreme temperatures up to 480 degrees F. The thermal properties of the Ove Glove outer layer dramatically extend the time a person can handle a hot object. The tough exterior of the gloves forms a thermal isolation barrier slowing the temperature increase in the interior layer of double-knit cotton. Even when exposed to an open flame, the outer layer of the glove will not catch fie or melt, so it is perfect for use when you want to flambé.

	Customer Reviews: Average Rating: Rating : - Great product, when used properly Other reviews have mentioned all these points but I thought I would reiterate them all. The Ove Glove is a great product and gives you a wonderful dexterity that you just can't get with other oven mits. However, it doesn't offer as much thermal protection as the less dexterous mits and this should be taken into account when using it. If you are just grabbing hot dishes to move them quickly, or removing something from the oven and setting it right back down then the Ove Glove is wonderful. However, if you will need to hold said hot dish for an extended period of time then you will notice the heat. Also, as noted in the warning that comes with the glove, DO NOT use it while wet, or let it get wet while you are using it. The glove conducts heat very quickly and efficiently when wet, more so than other oven mits I've used and accidentally gotten wet.
