	Customer Reviews: Average Rating: Rating : - my late review Judging by the sound of this CD you instantly hear great musicians. The song writing on this record stands out the most, but as a first LP release the music should stand out just as much as the song writing; and music seemed to be missing from the CD and is replaced with "(X) amount of Truth" and "I'm Breathing...Are You Breathing Too?". The first half of the CD balances abrasive music mixed with alternative melodic sounds. This is for someone who wants to hear something against conventional music. The second half of the album sounds more like songs that were demo versions, and would be better if polished and finalized with more music and time put into it. Listening to the album you simply want to hear more vocals and piano from Sal. The production also takes away from the music. Brilliant songs like "Tell Them That She's Not Scared" and "Mirrors" have the background vocals not mixed high enough with strange effects over it, and the vocals are doubled a lot of times. Over all this is one of my favorite new bands, and you will find more originality in this band compared to anything you will hear on the radio; but at the same time it's very rough and dry, and people will mistake that for a CD that "slows up", but it's really a CD that goes against the grain. I suggest "Lucy Gray" for people that want to hear astonishing song writing with a raw element of music. Over all the album is playful but if this band puts the effort into a CD that they put into touring and how they sound live, we should expect their second LP to be their "OK Computer" of albums for them. + See Full Customer Review
