The QZ/5 is perfect for wearers who value hearing protection. Featuring neodymium magnet structures, the QZ/5 delivers a frequency response of 40 to 20,000 Hz for outstanding clarity and definition. Oxygen-free copper voice coils enhance signal transmission. The high sensitivity of this stereophone allows it to be driven from any portable sound source or radio-frequency scanner.

Equipped with a 3-foot coiled cord that extends up to 8 feet, the QZ/5 features a 3.5-millimeter L plug to connect to any sound source or radio scanner with a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. A dual volume control on the ear cup provides for convenient level adjustment.

Important for racing and commercial use, a lightweight, low-profile nylon/Velcro headband allows for easy adjustment for fit and permits the wearer to wear a cap. The metal band behind the head holds the cups firmly in place for proper isolation.

Headphones comfort is certainly very individual thing, so I am not claiming that they will fit everybody. I am wearing them for 8 hours in the office (I sit about 2 feet from window A/C unit the noise from which they block completely) and another couple of hours at home office (with noisy kids running around) every weekday. There are no other headphones I could stand for anything close to that duration and I've tried quite a few models over years (usually I start to feel uncomfortable in an hour or two).
